Flower Photography in the Pyrenees
In July, Alice will be leading a photography based tour to the Central French Pyrenees for The Travelling Naturalist.
The area is home to a wonderful range of wildlife such as eagles and vultures, and many habitat specialist and endemic flowers. On this specific photographers’ tour, flowers, insects and the magnificent scenery will be the main focus for our cameras. Macro lenses will be ideal for this sort of imagery, but aren’t essential. However, large raptors occasionally pass low overhead, smaller birds abound and we may pass close to Alpine marmots and other wildlife, so having a longer lens handy may prove useful.
Aside from photographing, we can spend evenings enjoying the fine food that the area has to offer, going through the species seen during the day and processing the images we’ve taken.
