Picos de Europa with Greenwings

Escape to the Picos de Europa in the Cantabrian mountains of Northern Spain this summer with Alice and join her in searching for the butterflies that reside there. Specialities such as Bog Fritillary, Gavarnie Blue, Dusky Large Blue, Chapman’s Ringlet,  and Large Chequered Skipper will be among the highlights, but the area has many more to offer alongside a rich tapestry of wildflowers, birds such as Short-toed Eagle, Griffon Vulture, Alpine Chough and other wildlife. The area is unspoilt and verdant, full of high-altitude wildflower meadows and historic villages waiting to be explored. Coupled with spectacular mountain views from locations such as El Cable and delicious local dishes in our traditionally built mountain hotel, this promises to be a memorable week.
